Mckenzie Siblings Document

The idea of a document / booklet about the lives of the McKenzie siblings (the children of John and May) has been welcomed by various folk. The document is intended to will provide information about Audrey, Ralph, Mary, Grace, Edith, John, Arthur, Victor, Lily, Barbara, Janet and Duncan.

We are hoping to complete the first draft of the document by the end of this year (2009) and make finalise it the within the following 2 years.

To make this a success, we need to appeal to our cousins for information about your parents. please assist us. If you have received a letter from me, please reply asap. If not, please contact me via email, so that I can send a copy of the letter to you. Thanks to those who have already sent information to me.

After the death of my parents, in 2003, I developed a desire to find out more about my ancestors. Who were they, what they did and why I think the way I do! So began a journey ifrom the past, which has indeed answered many questions about the present! I am only sorry that I did not pay more attention as a youngster when my aunties and parents spoke about family history. Today there are so still many questions which will probably remain unanswered.

So far, I have gathered data on the Buchanan, Brickhill, Hedgcock, and Egenes family way back into the 1700’s.
The history of my paternal grandfather (Mckenzie) and maternal grandfather (Woods) is proving to be difficult to trace.
I am capturing all the data onto a computer program known as My Heritage, which can be downloaded from the internet. The data file is in GEDCOM format. Anyone wishing to obtain a
copy of my information is welcome to contact me. This research has already taken many years of work and will continue into the future. Although I do not sell my work, any donations towards this research, will be greatly appreciated. Obtaining birth and death certificates, as well as the assitance of full-time researchers does cost money!

Contributions of information, documents, press articles, photographs etc, are always welcome. For example, my brother
Colin sent me a box of memorabilia that he had collected. What a wonderful collection of documents, letters and photographs. The challenge is to match the photographs to the people's names, so please remember to include any information you have..
